The football game is an outdoor game. I like football games among outdoor games. It is now a popular game. In almost every school and village there is a football team. It has come to this country from England and nowadays is played all over the world.
I favor football as my favorite game. The game of football is a favorite for me. It came from England. But it is now a very popular game. I’m a great lover of these games. Though football is a foreign game, it has become one of our national games. Nowadays. football is played in every nook and corner of the world.
It is played in almost all the countries of the world. In our country, it is equally popular. It is played in schools, colleges, universities and also in villages with equal thrill and jest. Hence of all the games. I like football most. 1 have an additional interest for football which is very much interesting. It is full of thrill for both the players and the spectators. It needs energy. swiftness and above all, the technique to play the game. It is an excellent form of exercise that makes the players strong and stout and hardy. These are the various reasons for which it is my favorite game.
The game is played between two teams. Each team has eleven players of whom one is the goalkeeper. Each of the teams tries to score a goal. It is played for ninety minutes. This time is divided into two halves. There are 10 minutes for rest. A referee conducts the game. The party that scores more goals wins the game. It teaches the principle of discipline and obedience to rules. It also makes the players prompt, careful, strong, and hardy. Thus, apart from giving an excellent amusement, football teaches many virtues and helps in the formation of character.
Football is not an unmixed blessing. It has some demerits also. Many students spoil their studies for their craze for football. They not only play football but also talk of football, think of football, and dream of football. The rivalry of the play often leads to quarrels and squabbles. Sometimes it goes to such an extent that the whole playground turns into a battlefield. But with all these demerits.
